School Calendar 2010-2011
This calendar may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances not known at this time. The school year officially ends when students have completed 180 full days of school or as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Education, excluding snow or other cancellation. Seniors will complete their studies prior to Senior Week and Graduation Day, as determined by the Lynn School Committee.
Vacation and Holiday Schedule 2010 – 2011 School Year:
The first staff development day for teachers shall be Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
Students will report to school the Wednesday after Labor Day (Wednesday, September 8, 2010).
The second staff development day for teachers will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
Schools will be closed on the following holidays and vacation periods:
Columbus Day - Monday, October 11, 2010
Veterans Day - Thursday, November 11, 2010
Thanksgiving Recess - Wednesday (noon), November 24 through
Friday, November 26, 2010
Christmas Vacation - Friday, December 24 through
Friday, December 31, 2010
Martin Luther King Day - Monday, January 17, 2011
Winter Vacation - February 21 – 25, 2011
Spring Vacation - April 18 – 22, 2011
Memorial Day - Monday, May 30, 2011
